Introduction-
History: A Concours d`Elegance (a French phrase meaning a competition of elegance, or literally, "concourse of excellence," refers to the gathering of prestigious cars. Concours, (pronounced: "Con-Kor"), dates back to 17th century French aristocracy, who paraded horse-drawn carriages in the parks of Paris during summer weekends and holidays. Over time, carriages became horseless, and the gatherings became a competition among automobile owners to be judged on the appearance of their automobiles as well as their attire.

The Hill Country Region PCA Concours d’ Elegance is a gathering together of Porsche automobiles in competition for judging their relative merits in terms of coachwork, design, finish and presentation. It is an activity in which the beauty and cleanliness of your Porsche is rated and scored with other automobiles within your designated class.

HCR members are invited to take part in a German festival that marks the arrival of spring: Maifest, “the little sister of Oktoberfest.” This year there will be  about 6-8 Beer vendors and 4 wine vendors from Germany and Texas. Maifest has the same friendly, welcoming atmosphere as Oktoberfest, but it has its own special brew: Maibock beer. Off the Grid, Walburg Boys and Lederhosen Junkies will play your favorite tunes.  There will be a Kinderzone (kid’s area) with kid’s activities.
