On Saturday, August 10, about 40 members of the club attended the tech session at Jeff’s Resurrections in downtown Taylor, TX. Jeff Snyder’s shop does restoration/resurrection work on all types of cars. No photos were allowed inside the shop, but we were treated to a personal tour of the facility and a background review of most of the cars on the shop floor. Some of the more interesting cars were the myriad of old (and newer) Jaguars, the 1966 Ford GT40, the 1988 Porsche Carrera, a DeTomaso Pantera, and an Eleanor Mustang spotted hiding in a back corner. Great education as well on the nuances of paint colors (who knew Porsche Slate Gray had 16 different shades}, and everyone walked away learning something. After the tech session, attendees strolled over to Louie Mueller’s BBQ and we were treated to fabulous “skip the long line family style sampler platters of BBQ Brontosaurus (brisket) rib, pork ribs, sausage and all the trimmings” lunch. A great time was had by all!
