The People

The Porsche Club of America’s tagline is “it’s not just the cars . . . it’s the People”, and that holds true for every Zone and Region in the Porsche Club of America.

Membership in the Hill Country Region PCA gives you access to a community of folks with a broad range of backgrounds who share at least one thing in common: The love of their cars and the Porsche marque.

We celebrate this shared community with events throughout the year. These events range from the technical (tech sessions) and driving related (Driver Education aka D.E.), to more social events that can be enjoyed not only by the direct members of the club, but also their family or close friends.

Lunch Bunch

Lunch Bunch is a social event held periodically at restaurants in the greater Austin area. We typically arrange for special group seating, and are normally “dutch”, i.e. each person pays for their own meal. These are very informal but give you a chance to meet club members and chat, often about things other than cars! Meet your fellow club members in a very welcoming venue.

Lunch Bunch had to go on hiatus due to COVID-19, but we are going to hold them when safe according to PCA National, State, and Local guidelines and regulations. Check our calendar for the latest info!

Happy Hours

Happy Hours are organized and held in two different sub-regions, in order to make them easier to attend by all interested. We have a North/Central Happy Hour coordinator for those wishing to attend something north of downtown Austin, and a South/West Happy Hour coordinator for those who would like to stay on the other side of Austin.

Happy Hours are typically held, well, during Happy Hour (weekdays, near the end of the business day) and are another great way to meet new people over a bite to eat and a drink. As with Lunch Bunch, these are typically “pay your own way”, and the emphasis is on meeting other club members. Despite the name, these events are often held at restaurants, without an emphasis on drinking.

Distinguished Speaker Series

The Hill Country Region has held several Distinguished Speaker events where we invite significant persons in motorsport or Porsche or related fields to speak with our club. These have been held in person but have also been done remotely in order to get more speakers and attendees involved.

We have started recording these when possible, and you can find them here: HCR Distinguished Speaker Series

Annual Events

The Hill Country Region holds an annual holiday dinner that celebrates the club members as well as our philanthropical participation by collecting gifts for needy children.

In addition, we hold an annual member Party that is more casual.
