Here are the details:
Same location, earlier start time, new classing rules. PCA members driving Porsches should select PCA-P as their class. After you are confirmed, we will send you a link to a website to identify your vehicle according to PCA classification rules. All other participants must use https://www.scca-classifier.com/a/index.html to determine their class and enter the appropriate class in their registration.
PCA rules do not allow any passengers other than instructors.
Our goal is 1 practice run and 8 to 10 timed runs per participant. Participants will be divided into two driving groups. The group that isn’t driving will be working setting cones, assisting in start/finish or flagging. The maximum number of participants is 60, but if all slots get filled, we will have a waiting list in case of cancellations.
We will be using Discord to communicate event details, course maps, discussions about car classes, etc. If you have not previously been authorized to use our Discord server, please follow this link and go through the authentication process. https://discord.gg/5mHuHEAZ5P
Helmets are required and your car will have to pass a safety inspection at the event. Please follow this link to see this link for more details: https://www.pca.org/sites/default/files/PCA%20Autocross%20Safety%20Inspection%20Checklist%20May%202020_0.pdf
We plan on sending our more information as the event date nears to include the course layout, start times etc. We will have a 7:30am start, ending by 3pm at the latest followed by everyone helping to clean up and be off site by no later than 5pm. Our starting time will allow for a novice course walk.
Registration will open at www.clubregistration.net on October 1 and the registration fee is $45 for PCA members, $55 for non-PCA individuals. Everyone must register online as we cannot accept walkup registrations for this event. If for some reason, the event is cancelled, you will receive a full refund.
Your registration signifies that you understand that you are required to reimburse Hill Country Region for any fees or physical damage to the facilities caused by yourself and guests and that these are not covered in your registration fee.
If you are bringing a guest or know someone else who will come, they also must register at Clubregistration.net. Current PCA guidelines require everyone who attends an event to sign the event waiver.
You will need to bring your own food for lunch and any non-alcoholic beverages other than water which will be provided.
If you have any questions or want to choose a specific work assignment, please contact Alfred Freudenberger, Tom Pruett and Steven Tellman at ax@hcrpca.org.
