Fall Tour With a Twist

We will take about a 2-hour drive out to the Dime Box Distillery in Giddings! HCR member, Brian Evans, is a co-owner of the distillery and wants to show our members some love.

Please note this tour is limited to 45 vehicles. We will have a waitlist beyond 45 vehicles, should there be any cancellations.

Here’s the plan: We will depart from Murphy USA (behind it, in the Walmart parking lot), located at 4700 E. Palm Valley Blvd in Round Rock around 9am. When we arrive at the distillery, we will have a special “HCR Porsche Corral” set aside just for our participants. That’s important because also on that date is the hugely popular Giddings Cars and Coffee, which has drawn 200+ cars in the past. So, with our own Corral, we won’t have to hunt or fight for parking spaces. Only registered attendees present at the required Driver’s meeting will be allowed to park in the Corral at the distillery.

The official driving tour event ends when we arrive at the Corral, but then there’s more fun planned. The distillery will host our group for free private tours of the distillery. As a bonus, they plan to have their bottling operation running that day, just for us. One of the distillery’s products is Sixth Street Bourbon, which comes in a guitar-shaped glass bottle (6-year old bourbon and it’s excellent). After the tour, the tasting room will be open just for our group, for a free tasting event. Lunch is “on your own” and there are several good restaurants located around the distillery and railyard area, all within easy walking distance. And of course, everyone is welcome to peruse all the Cars and Coffee vehicles parked in the surrounding lots.
