October Sips ‘n Sticks – Stock The Whisky Room

The October Sips ‘n Sticks will be very special, indeed!
On Wednesday, October 18th from 6:00pm-8:00pm, our event venue will be the home of Charlie and Jane Ann Sparks in Georgetown. This event will be structured a bit different than our usual Sips ‘n Sticks…it’s a “Stock The Whisky Room” event!
Here’s how it will work:
* The event runs from 6pm-9pm.
* There’s a limit of 20 participants. Registration is required here.
* Instead of the usual $50pp at the door, each attendee is requested to bring a ~$50 bottle of single malt whisky. All unused / unfinished bottles during the evening will be donated to Charlie’s Whisky Room.
* We will be outdoors, in the terrific Casa Sparks backyard. Three different seating areas are available: covered patio, poolside, and the fireplace area. Pick your favorite setting and enjoy the evening.
* We will start the evening with some heavy snacks, furnished by Charlie and Jane Ann.
* As a group, we will select 3 of the bottles brought in by attendees for the evening tasting event.
* Charlie will select a bottle from his Whisky Room collection, and add it to the evening’s tasting (he promises to pull a special one from his Whisky Room). So we will have a total of 4 single malt whisky’s to add to the evening’s tasting.
* In addition, those wishing to pair a cigar will be invited to select their stogies from any of Charlie’s humidors.
* Since we will be outdoors, with lots of seating space, if you want to skip the cigar and just enjoy the food, single malts and social time, come join us!
* Ladies are always invited to join in.
* Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
* Parking will be on-site on the driveway network. There’s lots of driveway space to park most of the vehicles. Plus, additional parking is available out in the flat part of the front yard. There are no street curbs, so it’s easy to pull up into the front yard from the street.
* In the event of inclement weather, we have a backup plan with other indoor options to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable time.
