This is a Cigar and single malt tasting at our club sponsor, Casa de Montecristo, to celebrate the beginning of Texas Independence. On this date in 1835, Col. William Barret Travis learned that the Mexican Army under Gen Santa Anna was marching toward San Antonio, and Travis sprang into action…the rest is history.
Our event is set for Thursday, March 3rd from 6pm-8pm. For this evening, we will be tasting a selection of single malt whiskies from the great state of Texas. We might throw in one scotch, just for comparison.
Cost is $50pp, payable at the door. That covers a tasting of 4 single malt whiskies plus a premium cigar selected to pair well with our whiskies. Brad Wonderling, Casa manager, will also provide a selection of cheeses and chocolate to snack upon.
Our event is capped at 20 attendees, and when we’ve done these events in the past it’s always a fan favorite. Ladies are invited!
