Visit to John Wester Collection Family and Porsche Juniors

Please join us at John Wester’s garage for this year’s Family Day!
As some of you may already know, John is a self-made business man and car enthusiast who has an enviable collection of about 50 cars including Porsches, Ferraris, muscle cars and some of the finest examples of Pantera’s found in the US. Each of these cars has a story. The cars are located in a warehouse decorated with automotive art and includes one of the finest motorsport-oriented man caves we have ever seen.
In addition to his collection, John has extensive track experience having completed many Porsche High Performance Driving Courses and Mercedes AMG Academy Courses. John has experience driving several different high-performance Porsches on various tracks throughout the US including: COTA, Barber Motorsports, Eagles Canyon, Watkins Glen, MSRC, MSRH, VIR, Laguna Seca, and Mid Ohio among others.
To support his love for motorsports and racing, John created The Stables at Gasoline Alley, SAGA Motorsports in 2017. SAGA is an invitation only race group which was initiated with two members, John and Felix. Since then, SAGA has evolved into approximately 20 members from all over the US that are joined together by their love of track driving. Besides having a strong passion for the Porsche brand, SAGA prefers Porsches because of their reliability and performance.
John has graciously invited us to bring our families to visit his collection on August 26th, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00pm. The collection is in South Austin and we will provide the address one week prior to the event. There are plenty of things in the warehouse that will be of interest to kids not to mention the cars, including racing simulators. We will also have someone taking pictures in one or two of the cars for those interested.
Of course there will be food and refreshments with snacks and soft drinks provided by Koncept Garage and a snow cone truck to help beat the heat provided courtesy of our sponsor XPEL Austin.
Registration will open on ClubReg on July 21st. For this event we will ask for a $10 administration fee to help defray expenses. Due to space considerations we must limit total attendees to 50 so please register as soon as you can.
