NEW: Announcing the retirement of the Communicable Disease Waiver (yea!!)
PCA announced this past week that the CDW form is no longer required as of July 1st. So that means it’s effectively sunset. You will not see the form in your new registration signups on ClubRegistration.net going forward, and current events with registrations in progress have had the form removed. Over and out.
NEW: BREAKING NEWS! Rolling Stones change Fall SchnellFest Driver Ed to September 17-19 !!!
Those aging English Rock n Rollers “The Rolling Stones” are coming to COTA in November… so we have changed our Fall Schnell Fest weekend to September 17-19.
- Registration will open at Noon on Wednesday August 4 at Austin Schnell Fest :: ClubRegistration.net(link is not yet active). Be sure to mark your calendars with both dates!
- For first time HPDE drivers we will run an “Introduction to HPDE” (“ITH”) on Friday September 17th. Registration fee for the ITH will be only $299.
- Instructors will have only one student per day.

UPDATE: Ladies Lunch Bunch
The July Ladies Lunch will be held on Wednesday, July 7. Jack Allen’s Kitchen, on West Anderson Lane in Austin, is the destination. Attendance is limited to 20. Details and registration are on the HCR Calendar

Lunch Bunch is set for the second Thursday of the month. The July Lunch Bunch will be held on Thursday, July 8 and location is J&J BBQ & Burgers. Check out the details on the HCR calendar: July Lunch Bunch

UPDATE: July Driving Tour: BBQ and Ice Cream!
Our next tour will be on July 24, presented by Driving Adventures USA, and it’s officially now sold out at 60 cars, with a wait list. If you are confirmed for the event, and cannot attend, please cancel on ClubReg as soon as possible, so we can have time to try and refill your spot with people on the waitlist.
We will start off at Torqqe Performance in Oak Hill (9300 Highway 290 W), and they are providing breakfast tacos and coffee. Confirmed attendees will need to gather at 8:00am for check-in, grab breakfast, and the required driver’s meeting for ALL attendees will be at 8:40am. DON’T BE LATE!!

July Tech Session with Maverick Region at Werks 11: All About Paint
Come join us at Werks11 (302 W. Adams in Temple, Texas) on Saturday, July 31. The event starts at 9:00AM and we look to be wrapped up by noon.

NEW: Happy Hour is Back!!!
Greg Harrington is happy to report the return of the North Happy Hour. He is set for Thursday, August 19th at Hank’s, located at 5811 Berkman Dr. The event runs from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Hank’s is in a great central Austin location near the Mueller area, with HH prices, plenty of free parking, and space for lots of Porsches!

NEW: August Tech Session at HD Motorsports
Join our intrepid Tech Session co-Chairs Stacey and Tuffy at a “new to HCR” shop: HD Motorsports, located at 2118 Downing Lane, Suite 120 in Leander. “HD” stands for Hammer Down, in case you are wondering. Our event is on Saturday, August 21, from 10:00am – 1:00pm. Lunch is provided.

Our first tech session at the new location in NW Austin is now posted in our calendar and ready for registrations. Attendance is will be capped at 60, so don’t delay your registration!

Looking Back
We had no events this past weekend due to July 4th Holiday.
Our objective continues to be to keep our membership up to date on what is going on in HCR, as well as PCA nationally. Please remember, our goal is to deliver events that allow you to participate safely, and to ensure you have fun!
