Schnell Fest registration is open! This Porsche Club of America Driver Education event is a joint presentation of the Hill Country, Lone Star and Maverick Regions – PCA, with the support of our good friends at the Houston Chapter BMW-CCA. We’re calling these events at COTA the “Austin Schnell Fests” to emphasize the fact that these events are not just for Porsche or BMW Drivers – drivers of every make are invited to participate, and membership in PCA or BMW-CCA is not necessary. 1/21/2024 – Sunday – North informal Get Together, join us 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Red Horn Brewery & Roastery, located at 1615 Scottsdale Drive, Building 1, Suite 110 in Leander. The entire back parking lot is set aside for HCR members, with picnic tables and our own access through the rear entrance. Our cars will be on full display to anyone coming into the side parking lot entrance. Red Horn serves great coffee and breakfast items. See you there!
1/21/2024 – Sunday – Following up on the success of our wine socials in 2023, HCR will host another moderately priced wine social on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This event is being hosted by Kam and Holly Barnes at their home in Onion Creek in south Austin.
Light appetizers and snacks (with an Italian flavor, of course) will be provided to compliment the tastings. After the initial pours of the wines, guests can enjoy additional pours of one or more of the wines if they want to enjoy a bit more of any of the five wines initially tasted.
The cost is $40.00 per person, which includes all wine and food and is payable at registration.
NOTE: Registration does not open until Sunday, January 7, at noon at ClubRegistration.net. Due to space and parking limitations at the Barnes residence, attendance will be limited to 30 guests.
1/25/2024 – Thursday – Happy Hours!
Happy Hour Central, Thursday January 25, 2024 at Draught House Pub and Brewery, 4112 Medical Pkwy, Austin, 5:30 – 7:30 PM. Come check out our new central happy hour location. They have a full bar along with their own beer and a lot of guest taps. There is a good truck with fish and chips that are to die for along with an amazing burger. Parking is plentiful at the doctor’s office to the left of the pub. Parking is available there after 5:30pm.

1/31/2024 – Wednesday – Have you been intrigued about High Performance Driver’s Education? Have you wondered what it would be like to drive your car at COTA? HCR is pleased to announce a DE101 conducted by David Gross from our Region’s DE Team. David will demystify the event and share with you his extensive knowledge and passion for Driver’s Education. This not to miss event will be held at Rudy’s Country Store, 3914 N Lamar, Austin beginning at 6:00 PM. More information to follow along with a sign-up on Club Registration.
2/3/2024 – Saturday – The Hill Country Region Annual Meeting will be held Saturday, February 3rd at Rudy’s Country Store, 3914 N Lamar Blvd, Austin. Plan to arrive around 5:00 pm to place your order for Rudy’s legendary barbecue! The business meeting will begin at 6:00 pm and end no later than 8:00 pm. You are responsible for purchasing your food and drink.

2/3/2024 – Saturday – Porsche and Coffee at Werks 11, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Julian Avent, HCR member and owner of Werks11, hosts Cars and Coffee 201 FM 1237 Troy TX. This is an increasingly popular Saturday opportunity to meet HCR members and other Porsche owners for informal conversation and a chance to ogle the cars in the Werks11 shop.
2/4/2024 – Sunday – CENTRAL – Let’s Get Together Rudy’s Country Store, 7709 RR 620, Austin. This is a great opportunity to chat with your fellow Porsche enthusiasts, while showing off your own Porsche beauty! Swing by at your leisure – no reservation needed.
2/6/2024 – Tuesday – HCR Meet-Up in The Hill Country – this is a standing event on the 1st Tuesday evening of each month. Just drop in. No reservation needed for this informal opportunity to Meet-Up with your fellow Porsche enthusiasts.
