Yesterday’s Fall Autocross was an absolute PORSCHE BLOWOUT! Team Porsche arrived in full force, showcasing the finest in performance and handling. The participating Porsches included a stunning array of models:
- Porsche 911’s, 911S, 911GTS, 911GT3, 911GT3RS;
- Boxsters, Boxster GTS, Spyder;
- Cayman T, Cayman GTS, Cayman GT4, Cayman GT4RS;
- Macan 4 (yup, a fully electric Porsche SUV ran the course with the speed and precision of any other top autocross racer – way to represent our 4-door Porsche members!); and
- Panamera 4s
Mixing in a few other manufacturers and the competition heated up to the highest level: BMW, Ford, Lexus, Lotus, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota & VW.
What a fantastic & entertaining day-long performance thanks to Autocross Coordinator Alfred Freudenberger and the Autocross Support Team. Great job, as always!

This Porsche Club of America Driver Education event is a joint presentation of the Hill Country, Lone Star and Maverick Regions – PCA, with the support of the Houston Chapter BMW-CCA. Drivers of every make are invited to participate, and membership in PCA or BMW-CCA is not necessary.

Come join us for a free SOCIAL MIXER at the second Schnell Fest of the year. There will be an assortment of food, beer, wine, soft drinks and water. You can also come out anytime during the day to see the action on track, including the PCA Club Race event which will be streaming live.
The SOCIAL MIXER is open to all HCR members and is a great opportunity to explore COTA and see what happens on an HPDE weekend. This is a perfect opportunity to see the cars participating in the event and to talk to the drivers as well.
If you are interested in attending the SOCIAL MIXER, your vehicle will be stopped at the COTA security booth to sign the COTA and PCA waivers. You will then receive a wristband which you must wear while on the premises. Minor children are welcome but a legal guardian must sign a minor waiver. Pets are not allowed.

This year, we’ll gather on the private top floor of Austin’s famous OASIS ON LAKE TRAVIS, which is touted as one of the largest restaurants in the world and known for its breathtaking sunsets, terraced views looking west over Lake Travis, and eclectic decor.

Approximate Schedule:
5:30 PM– Social Hour (arrive at 5:30 PM and enjoy the beautiful sunset)

Parking: The Oasis offers various parking options, including a covered garage, remote parking with shuttle service, and valet parking.
Access to the Private Top Floor: Upon arrival, follow the signs to the elevator that will take you directly to the private top floor, where the event is scheduled to take place.
Cancellations: You can cancel your reservation through midnight on November 29, 2025. At that time, a refund will be issued minus the HCR administrative fee. NOTE: Cancellations made on or after November 30, 2025, cannot be refunded, as we will have already fulfilled our attendee guarantee to the Oasis.
