3/14/2024 – Thursday – Lunch Bunch is always on the lookout for new and interesting restaurants to add to our repertoire. We’ve found a good one and we think you will like it. For March, we will gather at Vaqueros Cafe and Cantina in Steiner Ranch. (Some members may recall that we had a good lunch at the Vaqueros location on South Capital of Texas Hiway some years ago.) 3/16/2024 – Saturday – Get ready for the ultimate fusion of speed and flavor! GT International is revvin’ up for their second Cars and Crawdads Crawfish Boil. We’re doing things a little differently this time. Think of it as a Cars and Coffee, I mean a “Cars and Crawdads” event and we are invited! This is not an HCR event so registration is not required.
The show will run from 9:00am – 1:00pm on March 16, 2024. Be sure and arrive early (8am-830am) so we can park all of our P-Cars together in the best parking spaces, right in the center of the lot. Webster says the more the merrier so mark your calendars and we’ll see you there!!

3/17/2024 – Sunday – North informal Get Together, join us 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Red Horn Brewery & Roastery, located at 1615 Scottsdale Drive, Building 1, Suite 110 in Leander. The entire back parking lot is set aside for HCR members, with picnic tables and our own access through the rear entrance. Red Horn serves great coffee and breakfast items. See you there!

3/23/2024 – Saturday – It’s bluebonnet season in central Texas & that means it’s time for our always popular annual bluebonnet tour. We have an awesome route planned for this year, starting in Bee Cave at the Dick’s Sporting Goods parking lot, Bee Cave Texas 78738. There will be a mandatory driver’s meeting at 8am, with 3 or 4 run groups leaving 15 minutes apart. The route will head west through the Texas Hill Country before turning north to Llano. There should be plenty of beautiful Texas bluebonnets to view & photo along the 100 mile route.

3/27/2024 – Wednesday – Sips and Sticks, Casa de Montecristo.
Come join us for the first Sips ‘n Sticks cigar and whisky tasting event of the new year at Casa. Since it’s March we will return to the Irish whiskey theme with some new selections that hopefully some have not tasted before. As usual the tasting selection will include four different whiskeys that will be paired with a premium cigar hand selected from the humidor by Justin (from Casa). Please come and join us March 27th from 6 to 8pm at the Casa de Montecristo Cigar Lounge in the Davenport Village Shopping Center in West Austin. The cost is $50pp payable at the door with either cash or card. All whiskey and cigar fans are invited and you are welcome to attend for the whiskey tasting only (no cigar) but the entrance fee is still $50pp. Snacks will be provided. The event is capped at 20 attendees and Ladies of course are invited!

3/28/2024 – Thursday – The Happy Hours.
Happy Hour North – Join us as we continue to try new locations – this time at Bluebonnet Beer Company in Round Rock. Focusing on great beer, community and fun, the brewery will have indoor and outdoor seating as well as Taco Libre food truck. The team mentioned that the parking lot does fill up so do arrive early. 3/30/2024 – Saturday – Blue Ocean Auto Spa Tech Session.
Blue Ocean Auto Spa is a new business in Cedar Park and a new advertiser so let’s welcome them to the HCR community. Jon Barnes, the owner and fellow car enthusiast, will share his extensive knowledge about car care and will include some hands-on activities for us. If you’ve never used a polisher to polish your paint job, or always wondered how best to clean your wheels and keep them clean, you’re in luck.
There is ample parking around the shop with overflow at the nearby L.A. Fitness. Jon says we can also park in front of the garage doors that say “No Parking” if needed.

4/3/2024 – Wednesday – The April Ladies Lunch 11:30 – 1:30 PM at Salt Traders Coastal Cooking, 2850 N. Interstate Hwy 35 in Round Rock. From the Gulf Coast to the Bahamas and back up to the East Coast, the menu is modeled after the owner’s most memorable meals eaten near the sea. Registration on Club Registration is coming next week.
4/6/2024 – Saturday – Mozart’s Cars Coffee and Croissants is back!
Mozart’s Coffee Roasters has invited us back to take center stage at Coffee, Cars, and Croissants on Saturday, April 6th, from 9 am – 1 pm. There’s no cost to attend the public event, but a $10 admin fee applies to each car registered to park in the Porsche Corral (fee must be paid at the time of registration). Also, this is a great FAMILY EVENT, so bring the kids and dogs along!
Corral parking for the Event will be split into two Sessions to maximize Member participation: 1st Session: 9 – 10:45 am; 2nd Session: 11 am – 1 pm. You may register for 1 Session ONLY (registrations for multiple sessions will be canceled). Registration is capped at 46 cars for each Session and due to safety concerns, all vehicles must remain in their assigned spaces until the end of each Session (about a 2-hour commitment on your part).
For those of you who haven’t been to Mozart’s, it is a beautiful, waterfront coffee house and bakery with a European feel overlooking Lake Austin. There’s picnic table seating on the upper and lower decks, as well as additional parking for hundreds of cars across the street if you want to stay after your Session ends. 4/6/2024 – Saturday – Porsche and Coffee at Werks 11, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Julian Avent, HCR member and owner of Werks11, hosts Cars and Coffee 201 FM 1237 Troy TX. This is an increasingly popular Saturday opportunity to meet HCR members and other Porsche owners for informal conversation and a chance to ogle the cars in the Werks11 shop.
4/12 through 4/14 – Friday through Sunday – The 2024 Pick-Yer-Tour Weekend is almost completely booked at over 180 Porsches! We still have some openings for the Country Roads Paved/Unpaved Tour and the Hit-the-Road-Jack Leisure Drive. There are plenty of rooms available at the hotel!
