SPECIAL MESSAGES:
Announcement:
I have some very happy news to share. Y’all recall my announcement last week about Tom Erdmann, and that Dana was selling his 2009 Carrera 4S.
Here’s the rest of the story:
Tom Emr shared with me, that earlier this year, he organized a car wash and detail of Tom’s car, just to help out Tom, who was at point where he could no longer do that task easily. Tom Emr sent me their group photo in front of the washed Carrera, and it’s a great photo of some outstanding HCR members pitching in to help a member in need. We will get it posted on our website.
I had several members reach out to me after last Sunday’s email, asking for pictures. Here’s what I received from Tom and Dana Erdmann’s son-in-law, Keith Watson this past week, who started this process when he reached out to me a couple of weeks ago:
“Charlie, We certainly appreciate all of your help on selling Tom’s Porsche. You will be happy to know that it remains in the group. Bill Gwinn is the proud new owner. Bill and his wife are happy. I told him that kind of completes his and Tom’s story, and showed just how important your club is for one another.”
Well done, HCR! Enough said.

Sept 17: Tech Session at Porsche South Austin
9am – noon
We have worked closely with PSA to develop an agenda that will interest every facet of Porsche owners and drivers. In particular, this includes all those ladies who own and/or drive a Porsche. Our format would be the same as our last successful tech session at the PA facility in northwest Austin. We will divide everyone into three groups and offer three topics simultaneously, each lasting about 20 – 25 minutes each. At the completion of each topic, the groups would rotate to the next topic.
Topics include:
- Navigating the Porsche Communications Management System (PCMS).
- Why does a Porsche feel like a Porsche?
- Porsche technician training and certification.
More details and registration can be found on our HCR Calendar.
