This landscape of Texas bluebonnets still lingers in my mind even years later. I had set out to find wildflowers blooming in springtime here in the Hill Country. I was amazed when I came across this lovely stretch of blue. I had left my home near Austin with thunderstorms overhead, but by the time I made my way down this dirt road near San Saba, the air was motionless and the soft clouds were beginning to turn shades of pink and red. My only company this night were the cows mooing in a nearby pasture. It was a good evening.
