Pick-Yer-Tour Weekend is sold out to capacity!  As a result, we will need to turn away any vehicles that show up at the event unconfirmed

The Hill Country and Maverick Regions’ Boards of Directors are cordially extending an invite to our Members to participate in the first-ever Pick-Yer-Tour-Weekend! 

This Event will start on Friday evening, March 17 and end on Sunday morning March 19, 2023. It will be centered in a quaint little Hill Country town named Fredericksburg.

Pick-Yer-Tour!

There will be four Drive Events to choose from:

• On-Road Technical
  • • Focused on Porsche “Sports” cars (911, Boxster, Cayman, 356, Panamera) looking for a “zesty” drive with tons of curves, turns, and twisties. Not for the faint of heart. Four and a half hours of fun driving.

• On-Road Leisure
  • • Self-guided activity for those who desire to drive their Sports cars or SUVs in a more relaxing manner and enjoy the Hill Country scenery.

• Paved/Unpaved Hill Country
  • • Intended for Porsche SUVs and other vehicles having at least 8-inch ground clearance.
    • Featuring miles of public dirt roads, cattle guards, free-roaming livestock, little to no traffic, and including a crossing or two of the James River, not by bridge, but by driving through the river, which has a solid rock bottom and is generally 12 to 18 inches deep, depending on recent rainfall.

• Hidden Falls Off-Road Loop
  • • At Hidden Falls OHV Park in Marble Falls
    • For lifted and/or high-clearance Cayennes / Macans, and other modified vehicles.
    • Drivers pay vehicle entry fee at Park

 All tours will start about the same time on Saturday Morning and will run concurrently. Additional detail on each of the tours is located here => Tour Details

Please note: None of the above tours are intended to be a speed contest or competition driving event. They are for your driving enjoyment. We will be observing all laws and speed limits. None of these events will push you or your vehicle to it’s limit.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

In addition to some great driving experiences, we are planning several Social events, starting with a joint Club Mixer early Friday evening. We will also be providing many suggestions for those who do not wish to join one of the driving tours but would rather spend the day exploring Fredericksburg.  Stay tuned for further details.

 REGISTRATION DETAILS

 There will be a limit of 75  now 100! vehicles total for this event. Please register early, as it is expected that the event will sell out quickly! 

 At the time you register for the event, you will need to select participation in one of the four tours above.

• Event registration will open December 1 on www.clubregistration.net. (Event 12913)
  • After allowance for volunteers, vehicle allocation will be split approximately even between Maverick and Hill Country Regions.
  • If your Region’s vehicle allocation is full, you will automatically go on a waiting list.

 The registration fee is $40.00 PER PERSON for those 16 or older. Children 15 or younger are welcome and can participate for free, but must be registered.

 Each registrant will receive a free T-shirt.

• Cancellations will be accepted and refunds processed until Feb. 15. Cutoff date for being able to order a T-shirt when registering is Feb. 15.
• Absolutely no registrations will be accepted at the event.

 ALL registrants are required to sign a waiver prior to participating in any of the Driving Events. ALL Minor participants will need a waiver signed by BOTH PARENTS OR GUARDIANS in order to participate (PCA Requirement).

Event check-in will open at 3 PM on Friday and will be located at the famous Hangar Hotel in the Fredericksburg Airport (3 miles/10 minutes from downtown). All tours will be staged from and terminate in the large parking area adjacent to the Hotel.

LODGING

The Hangar Hotel will be holding 24 rooms for each Region’s Event registrants to reserve Friday and Saturday nights, March 17 & 18. They have offered a special group rate of $179.00 per night + tax which includes a continental breakfast  (www.hangarhotel.com, 155 Airport Rd, Fredericksburg, TX 78624, Toll Free: 844-596-2300, Local: 830-997-9990, [email protected]). The Hangar Hotel is an adults-only (18 or over) establishment. These rooms will be disappear quickly, reserve now!

Please Note: You must be registered for the tour event on www.clubregistration.net in order for the Hangar Hotel to hold your reservation. Half (24) of the Hangar Hotel rooms will be allocated for each Region’s registered participants until Jan.1, when any unreserved rooms will be released to those (if any) on the other Region’s waiting list, and if any are still available they will be opened up to members of other PCA Regions.
