SPECIAL MESSAGES:
I couldn't let this date go by without doing a special update email to our members! It won't come around again for another 11+ years (3/3/33), so I'm giving you just a couple of special updates tonight.
As mentioned in last Sunday's eNews, we are looking for someone who can tow our 16’ double-axle enclosed club trailer to and from the AX Event. UPDATE: The trailer weight is only about 2000 lbs empty, so a pickup truck of Cayenne is ideal. The trailer contains traffic cones, ice chests, folding tables, volunteer vests, etc. So it's not a heavy trailer when loaded. Setup is on March 11, and tear down is after the event on March 12. HCR will have insurance on the trailer, and anyone towing it will be a “named insured” on the policy. If you are interested, please contact Alfred Freudenberger.
Feb 9: Annual Meeting at the Haute Spot in Cedar Park (REMAINING SPOTS LIMITED)
NOTE: We only have 20 open spots remaining for our Annual Meeting. If you wait much longer, you probably won't get in!
We have a new location for our upcoming Member Annual Meeting on February 9. We will be at the Haute Spot in Cedar Park. I've opened the ability on ClubReg for you to sign up and pay for up to 4 people (for families). If you need more, let me know and I can take care of that.
Here's the details of our event and new location:
On Feb 9, we will gather from 6:00-9:00p.m. at the Haute Spot located in Cedar Park at 1501 E. New Hope Drive. It's just off the NE corner of New Hope and 183A. It’s an indoor/outdoor event venue with a full kitchen and bar.
This is now listed as a "Special Event" on ClubRegistration.net and is open now for registrations. You can find it on your Dashboard when you login to ClubReg. Look for an event called: HCR Annual Member Meeting – 2022.
We have the entire event venue to ourselves, including all outdoor and indoor spaces. If the weather is chilly, the indoors areas are quite large, and we will open the garage doors to let the cool breezes in while patio heaters keep us all comfy.
Tickets are $20 per person, payable on ClubReg. Your ticket gets you entry into the event plus the dinner buffet.
Our event starts at 6:00 p.m. where everyone can enjoy the huge cash bar and socialize with fellow HCR members. At 7:00p.m. we will have a beef and chicken Fajita buffet. Salads available for those on a veggie diet. Around 8:00pm we will have a short program to run through the annual financial statements and present our Board and Event Coordinators, report on our progress in 2021 as well as our initiatives for 2022. We will also have an open Q&A with any Board members who are present. By 9:00pm we will be wrapped up.
Registration and payment in advance is required. Our dining room holds about 90 but we've capped the event at 70. Please be sure to make your payment after you register. You will only be confirmed for this event after your payment has been made.
Show up, chow down, meet Board members, and hear how great our club is doing!

Feb 2: Ladies Lunch at Casa Freudenberger
WE HAD A FABULOUS LADIES LUNCHEON TODAY at Casa Freudenberger. Michelle and Alfred were the perfect hosts, and we had a terrific Mardi Gras-themed luncheon, complete with beads, cups (if you gotta ask, then you haven't been to Mardi Gras lately), crowns, and parades. We had about 15 attendees, and I can speak for all attendees that a great time was had by all. Chef Alfred Prudhomme made his world famous Gumbo and rice, and lunch was top notch. The Hurricanes (Madonna and Emeril) and King Cake were outstanding. This was truly something fun and different….thank you Michelle and Alfred!!!
Our objective continues to be to keep our membership up to date on what is going on in HCR, as well as PCA nationally. Please remember, our goal is to deliver events where members can choose their level of participation. We will continue to stress safe and fun events!
If any questions or comments, please let me know.
