TWO SPECIAL MESSAGES:
1. I received an email several days ago from John Parr in Houston. He’s been a member of the Triumph Club, and here’s the email I am putting out to all our members. If anyone is interested in helping out the Parrs, their contact information is at the bottom of his email:
“Good afternoon.
My daughter and fiancé are getting married Feb 19 in Austin at the Commodore Perry Auberge Resort. The fiancé, Brett, is an avid Porsche lover, having restored and operated both a Boxster and 911 and works in mergers and acquisitions in the auto industry.
Kathleen and I would love to surprise Caitlin at Brett at their wedding to have a vintage Porsche for their "get away" 'JUST MARRIED" car…
I would greatly appreciate knowing if anyone in your club would be open to "renting" their Porsche for the late afternoon/evening of Feb 19. Any other leads would also be appreciated.
We are interested in a 356 or older 911 convertible. No real driving is anticipated, more for the photo opp. And certainly no markings would be made on the car either!!
Having previously owned 2 vintage Triumphs, (Houston's Texas Triumph Register) I can promise the utmost respect and the greatest care for the owner's prized possession.

2. I was contacted today by the Concours Chair up in Maverick Region. They are planning a pretty large concours event on May 22 in Grapevine, TX. We are posting their event flyer on our Social Media accounts, to spread the word. I’m told this may turn into a multi-day event, there are some major trophies being planned, and there will be a social the evening of May 21, before everything gets started the next day. More information can eventually be found here: MAVPCA.org/Concours

Mar 12: Spring Autocross at HEB Center in Cedar Park
After a very successful Fall 2021 Autocross, we will again be getting our adrenaline going at the H.E.B. Center at Cedar Park for our Spring 2022 event on March 12. Your club recently purchased brand new timing equipment that will not only be much easier for your AX team to use, but should help everyone get even more runs than last event. As before, we want to encourage as many PCA members to fill up our 60 maximum attendance. For anyone that has not participated in an autocross in the past, you should know that this is a safe and extremely fun event. The AX team designs the course so that the top speeds are around 60mph, so very little wear and tear on your car. We plan on having an intro to Autocross Zoom call soon, for the newbies. On the morning of the autocross, we will conduct a novice walk to help everyone get comfortable with the course and have an idea as to how to navigate around the cones to achieve their best times. Lastly, we will have several autocross experts available to ride along with anyone that would like an instructor. At only $40 for PCA members, this is way more affordable than DE and takes place in a parking lot, not a track.
Your non-PCA friends can join us too for only $50. Registration is now open at https://clubregistration.net/events/signUp.cfm/event/12088.

Jan 5: Ladies Lunch at The Grove Wine Bar and Kitchen, Cedar Park
Michelle was pleased to report another nicely-attended for the Ladies. We had 12 attendees, and they stayed so long that the restaurant closed to get ready for their supper menu. LOL. Great to hear the Ladies Lunch is so popular!
Our objective continues to be to keep our membership up to date on what is going on in HCR, as well as PCA nationally. Please remember, our goal is to deliver events where members can choose their level of participation. We will continue to stress safe and fun events!
