HEADS UP: To locate all our events, full details, and registration information, please go to our HCR Calendar and you can find these events there with registration links. You gotta register for most of our events in advance!
SPECIAL MESSAGE 1:
Just a “heads up” to the membership:
Many of your Event Coordinators are going through a gMail transition to a new account. Please be patient with us/them. Google decided to start charging organizations like HCR for the use of gMail accounts. It’s rather expensive to retain this capability across all our volunteers. So we had to cut back on our use of “@HCR.com” gMail accounts. Our Board decided we could afford about 20 or so accounts, and that means most Event Coordinators have to change to a new gMail format (FN.LN.HCR@gmail.com). We are working through that process, and our deadline is, you guessed it, June 1. It affects lots of stuff like clubreg events, and email groups, etc. PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH US ALL as we transition affected email accounts.
SPECIAL MESSAGE 2:
Please read this special message from our Zone 5 representative. There is a lot going on in PCA, and he highlights some of the upcoming events around the country.

July 10: DATE CHANGE: HCR 45th Anniversary Celebration Brunch at Steiner Ranch Steakhouse
10:00am – noon
OK, we’ve finally nailed down the date with the restaurant….sorry for the date change.
This year marks our 45th Anniversary for HCR. So your Executive Council team decided we should celebrate, and we will do it in style at Steiner Ranch Steakhouse on Sunday, July 10. The restaurant is located at 5424 Steiner Ranch Blvd in Austin. This is the Sunday all-you-can-eat Brunch at Steiner, and if you’ve never experienced it, you are in for a big treat!
We will have a dedicated room up on the 2nd floor, where you can soak in the excellent views of Lake Travis. The cost is $36.08pp, payable at the door, and includes coffee, tea or water beverages with free refills, tax and 20% gratuity. If you choose, any alcoholic drinks are extra and servers will run a tab for you upon request (their Bloody Mary is terrific!). For kids under 12, the cost is $16.84pp.
Due to capacity of the private room, we have to cap our attendance at 100 attendees. So be sure to register ASAP! We have a food and beverage minimum we have to hit, so please be sure to attend if you register.
As an added bonus, Steiner Ranch is setting aside an HCR Porsche Corral in their parking lot as reserved parking on a first come, first served basis.
Check here for more details, and registration is now open tonight. No waivers will be required.
August 20: Tech Session at XPEL Austin
9:00am – noon
Everyone wants their car’s paint protected from rock chips, windows filmed to block out that Texas heat, chow on breakfast tacos and coffee, and win cool swag. This session focuses on PPF, ceramic coatings, and window film. Lots of raffle prizes and swag bags, plus discounts on services if you signup at the session.
Plus, as a bonus, we will have a presentation from our newest HCR sponsor, House Ninja, who is providing all the food for our event! (yay!!).
Registration opens June 20.
October 2: Porsche vs Ferrari at Moorespeed
Our second annual Moorespeed Porsche vs Ferrari Concours is scheduled for Sunday October 2, 2022, at Moorespeed, 7910 Burleson Road, Austin (near Austin Bergstrom International Airport). The Hill Country Region of PCA and the Ferrari Club of Austin are jointly coordinating this event.
This is a fun concours where you have an opportunity to show off your Porsche against the best from the Ferrari Club of Austin. If you recall last year's event, we had about 50 judged Porsches and Ferraris and about 50 display cars. Overall attendance was about 250 people.
This year we’ll have two overall categories of cars. Judged and non-judged. Both categories are Porsche and Ferrari only. You can pick your category at registration.
Registration opens on Aug 1. Details on the HCR Calendar.
October 15, 2022: SAVE THE DATE for our next Autocross
Location: HEB Center, South Parking Lot this time. Registration will open two months prior to the event, i.e. on Aug 15. More details forthcoming on the HCR Calendar.
