Two calls for volunteers this week, the first from Andrew Garcia, HCR Social Chair.
We are looking for a volunteer to help with organizing the monthly North Happy Hours. If interested or have any questions please contact Andrew Garcia (andrew.garcia@hcrpca.org) – Social Chair. He can provide additional information and will of course assist as needed to whomever signs on to lead the North Happy Hours. Please let me know!

Additional Driver Coaches are needed for the next Tire Rack Street Survival planned for September 16, 2023, again at the Public Service Training Center in Kyle. This event which as you know is always sold out requires a lot of volunteers to organize, plan and execute. If you have volunteered in the past or are interested in becoming a coach please contact one of the following: Lenny Zwik, Stacey Soule or Carl Rossi.

7/27/2023 – Thursday – Happy Hour will be held at Beerburg Brewing, 13476 Fitzhugh Road, in Austin – 5:30 to 7:30 PM. One of the rare times that we’ll go to a beer-only location, but this one is special. Great location with a dog park, house-made ice cream, and a fantastic selection of beer.
8/1/2023 – Tuesday – A new HCR Meet-Up in The Hill Country – this is a standing event on the 1st Tuesday evening of each month 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Just drop in to Suds Monkey Brewing Company, 12024 US-290, Austin, TX. No reservation needed for this informal opportunity to Meet-Up with your fellow Porsche enthusiasts. This is a no host event but please contact Mike Seningen mike.seningen@hcrpca.org with any questions.
8/2//2023 – Wednesday – Ladies Luncheon – Come to meet and and visit with the women of HCR at the monthly Ladies Lunch. This event will be held at Sweet Lemon Kitchen – 812 S. Church Street, Georgetown, TX – right off the famous Georgetown Square! Usual time 11:30 until 1:30. In order to be guaranteed a seat please go to Club Registration here.
8/5/2023 – Saturday – Porsche and Coffee at Werks 11, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Julian Avent, HCR member and owner of Werks11, hosts Cars and Coffee 201 FM 1237 Troy TX. This is an increasingly popular Saturday opportunity to meet HCR members and other Porsche owners for informal conversation and a chance to ogle the cars in the Werks11 shop.
8/6/2023 – Sunday – Let’s Get Together Rudy’s Country Store, 9:00 am – 11:00 am at 7709 RR 620, Austin. This is a great opportunity to chat with your fellow Porsche enthusiasts, while showing off your own Porsche beauty! Swing by at your leisure – no reservation needed.
8/10/23 – Thursday – Lunch Bunch heads to a new restaurant, Don Mario Mexican in Lakeway on RR 620. Don Mario has an extensive menu of Mexican dishes, and there are both breakfast and lunch dishes available Join us for the meal of your choice and the sparkling conversation with your fellow club members from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm. Don Mario is on RR 620N. If you are coming from the north, look for the restaurant’s red sign on the left after you pass the stop light at Debba Drive. If you are coming from the south, look for the restaurant’s sign on the right after you pass the intersection of Stewart Road on the left. No pre-registration or RSVP required.
8/12/2023 – Saturday – Tech Session at Esses Racing. Buda-based Esses Racing, will be hosting a tech session on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The session will cover four topics: Vehicle Dynamics with Racing Instructor, Track Preparation for both HPDE and Racing, Simulator Driver Education (hands on) and General Maintenance.
Attendance capped at 40, breakfast tacos and coffee will be provided, expect a raffle with Esses swag.You must register at Club Registration. Esses is located at 1481 ROBERT S LIGHT BLVD, BLDG C,

8/13/2023 – Sunday – Get Together Doin’ Coffee and Donuts in Drippin’ – 9:00 am – 11:00 am. We have settled on nicely to our new location, Le Muse Coffee Bar, 505 Wynnpage Drive, Dripping Springs (in Caliterra). Contact Crystal Zarpascrystal@hcrpca.org with any questions. 8/16/2023 – Wednesday – Schnell Fest registeration at noon on Club Registration.net. Click HERE to register.
8/17/23 – Thursday – Brewery Night, where the fun starts at 5:30 and ends around 7:30. More details to come!
8/20/23 – Sunday – Get Together North – Join us 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Red Horn Brewery & Roastery, located at 1615 Scottsdale Drive, Building 1, Suite 110 in Leander. The entire back parking lot is set aside for HCR members, with picnic tables and our own access through the rear entrance. Our cars will be on full display to anyone coming into the side parking lot entrance. Red Horn serves great coffee and breakfast items, and are a terrific addition to our popular GTGs.
8/24/2023 – Thursday – Happy Hour South – Lustre Pearl – 5:30 until 7:30 PM, not one but two bars on the same property with 3-4 food trucks. Full bar and a good beer selection. This one is not to be missed!

8/26/23 – Saturday – Important note – this event is currently sold out, but the Wait List is open. Some additional slots may be opened, so please register if you would like to attend and you will be notified if more guests can be accommodated.
Please join us at John Wester’s garage for this year’s Family Day!
John has graciously invited us to bring our families to visit his collection on August 26th, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00pm. The collection is in South Austin and we will provide the address one week prior to the event. There are plenty of things in the warehouse that will be of interest to kids not to mention the cars, including racing simulators. We will also have someone taking pictures in one or two of the cars for those interested.
Of course there will be food and refreshments with sandwiches and soft drinks provided by Koncept Garage and a snow cone truck to help beat the heat provided courtesy of our sponsor XPEL Austin.
Registration will open on ClubReg on July 21st. For this event we will ask for a $10 administration fee to help defray expenses. Due to space considerations we must limit total attendees to 50 so please register as soon as you can.
